Meet Rebecca

REBECCA IANNELLO | FOUNDER & CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

I have experienced burnout and chronic stress first hand, and I understand how overwhelming it can be when it starts affecting your health, your ability to do daily tasks and your quality of life. This has made me passionate about sharing with people how psychology can help us to recover and heal on a mind and body level.

Therapy, like life, can be messy and challenging. I believe that therapy is primarily about understanding — what you’re experiencing, why you struggle with the things you do, and what you need most to be able to make meaningful changes. I know you’re already doing the best you can with what you’ve got, and therapy isn’t about fixing you (because you’re not broken!).

I am naturally curious, will listen without judgment, share a laugh and celebrate your successes. I focus on seeing your strengths and incorporating them into our work together. I aim to create a space where you can truly be yourself — whether that means swearing, crying, or simply being heard and understood.

Likes and dislikes

I enjoy yoga, nourishing walks with my dog, exploring new places, and savouring good chocolate.

I’m not a fan of cold and wintry mornings, coffee (yes, really!), or malfunctioning printers.

Experience and training

I’m a Melbourne-based clinical psychologist with ten years of experience across education, pain management and private practice settings.

I’m trained in

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

  • Schema Therapy

  • Dialectical Behavioural Therapy

  • Pain Reprocessing Therapy

I also use interpersonal, mindfulness, attachment, internal family systems, neuroscience and self-compassion principles to empower you to attune to your needs and find the path that’s right for you.

At Harmonise Psychology, we embrace a holistic view of health, honouring the interconnectedness of mind and body.

Our mission is personalised care and evidence-based treatments, illuminating the steps towards greater self-understanding, self-acceptance, and alignment with your personal values and needs.

Our values

  • Compassion is empathy in action — empathetically understanding experiences, fostering a non-judgmental environment, and supporting psychological health with kindness and care. We believe that compassion is fundamental to wellbeing, both within the therapy room and beyond.

  • Empowerment consists of helping individuals recognise their strengths, build self-confidence, and take active steps towards achieving their goals. The aim is to enhance a sense of autonomy, resilience, and personal agency in pursuit of health and fulfilling lives.

  • Authenticity involves embracing core values, beliefs, and emotions, promoting a deeper understanding and acceptance of oneself. This means utilising honest communication, self-expression, and aligning one's actions with personal integrity.

  • Harmony centres on promoting balance and integration within individuals' lives. It involves cultivating a sense of inner peace, coherence, and alignment between different aspects of wellbeing—mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual. The goal is to foster a harmonious relationship with oneself and others.

  • Growth emphasises fostering personal development, resilience, and positive change. It involves setting meaningful goals, cultivating self awareness, and learning from experiences to promote continuous learning and improvement. The focus is on enhancing strengths, skills, and capabilities to lead fulfilling and purposeful lives.
