At Harmonise Psychology, we see you.
It’s our belief that within every person lies a wellspring of strength and inner wisdom that can be drawn on to reduce suffering and heal.
Our therapy is grounded in psychological research, compassion and an appreciation for the intrinsic connection between mind and body.
Read on to explore some of the therapy frameworks we utilise.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a widely used therapeutic approach that focuses on how thoughts, beliefs, and behaviours influence emotions and wellbeing. It aims to help individuals identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviours that contribute to emotional distress and problems in daily life. CBT is structured, goal-oriented, and evidence-based, emphasising practical strategies to improve coping skills, problem-solving abilities, and overall mental health.
Schema Therapy
Schema therapy focuses on identifying and changing deeply ingrained, maladaptive patterns or schemas developed during childhood that contribute to emotional distress and dysfunctional behaviour in adulthood. The therapy aims to help individuals understand how these schemas impact their thoughts, feelings, and relationships. Through techniques such as cognitive restructuring, experiential exercises, and limited reparenting, schema therapy aims to heal emotional wounds, promote healthier coping strategies, and develop more adaptive ways of relating to oneself and others.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) blends acceptance and mindfulness strategies with commitment and behaviour-change strategies. It aims to help individuals develop psychological flexibility by accepting their thoughts and feelings rather than fighting against them. ACT encourages clients to clarify their values and take committed action towards goals aligned with those values, even in the presence of difficult emotions or challenging circumstances.
Pain Reprocessing Therapy
Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) is a holistic approach that combines cognitive-behavioural techniques, mindfulness, and neuroplasticity principles to alleviate chronic pain. It helps individuals identify and challenge negative thought patterns and behaviours linked to pain while fostering mindful awareness of sensations. PRT aims to rewire neural pathways to decrease pain intensity and improve overall well-being, empowering clients to regain control of their lives.
